Vermilion saline leases, 1819-1831.

Leases of tracts in the Vermilion saline reserve were executed by the Governor and include names, residences, and signatures of lessees; terms of lease (e.g., duration and amount of rent due annually); date lease executed; and signature of Governor. Also includes incoming correspondence to the Governor from U.S. Treasurey Department, General Land Office, and individuals regarding selections of tracts of the saline reserve, applications for and approvals of leases, and valuations of improvements on tracts.
